Effective July 1st, 2021
In order to secure accounts against unauthorized logins, and other types of security breaches we have enabled the following security protocols.
Support Pin# Shown in the manage portal dashboard once you have logged in. Clients will be required to provide this pin number to the HyperX staff when engaging in live chat for support and also via phone calls to support. Effective July 1st, 2021 we will no longer be able to assist you without the provided pin number.
Email Verification: All accounts must have their email address on file verified. Starting July 16th, 2021 we will disable manage portal access to any accounts that do not have their email address on file verified. You can easily verify your email by clicking the Resend Verification Email button at the top of the dashboard. Check your email and then click the link in your email to become verified. If you do not see the email please check your spam folder.
Two Factor Authentication: All accounts must have enabled 2FA by July 16th, 2021. 2FA is another layer of security that will use your mobile device to authenticate using a one-time passcode that is generated through an app such as google authenticator or by sending you a code via text message. Google authenticator is free and available from the Google Play store and iOS app store. You can access this setting in the dashboard by clicking on your name then choose Security Settings as shown below. Then click to enable under Two-Factor Authentication. Once you do this it will walk you through the steps to setup. You will also be provided a backup code in the event you lose access to your authenticator device phone. The backup code will need to be kept in a safe place if you can not use your authenticator. You can also setup to receive a text message from us with the code instead of using Google Authenticator.
Once you enable the 2FA you will see this screen. You will want to download and install Google Authenticator or Duo on your smartphone then continue.
Open up the Google Authenticator app or the Duo app and then scan this code to add it to your account.
You will be required to provide the code that the app generated.
